Job description
The Security Engineer role at Meta's Reality Labs Trust Security team focuses on securing devices throughout their lifecycle, including manufacturing security, cryptographic provisioning, and vulnerability management. The team ensures compliance with regulations while collaborating across various technology stacks. This position involves driving the technical strategy for wearable devices and enhancing security measures across a multi-product portfolio. The engineer will work on AI automation for vulnerability management and partner with cross-functional teams to align on security trade-offs.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related technical discipline, or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of experience dealing with security issues in web programming languages and development practices.
- Experience leading and managing complex cross-functional programs.
- Experience with exploiting common security vulnerabilities and remediation frameworks.
- Experience with AWS, Threat Modelling, Threat Detection, Security Incident Handling, and Infrastructure Hardening.
Responsibilities
- Influence and align the organization’s vision and strategy while developing and delivering multi-year roadmaps.
- Own the technical strategy for securing wearable device provisioning and access to Meta services.
- Architect an AI automation layer for vulnerability management across a large-scale codebase.
- Drive system design for SBOM generation and vulnerability lifecycle tooling to meet regulatory requirements.
- Lead platform-level security improvements across a multi-product device portfolio.
- Conduct threat modelling to prioritize risks and define security controls for manufacturing infrastructure.
- Partner with cross-functional teams and contract manufacturers to align on security trade-offs.
