The Edge & Network Services (ENS) team at Meta is seeking a Network Infrastructure Design Engineer to address the challenges of network connectivity in data centers. The engineer will play a crucial role in shaping Meta's data center designs by integrating network infrastructure requirements. • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
• 7+ years of experience in designing and deploying large-scale data center connectivity infrastructure.
• Thorough knowledge of structured cabling and fiber optic infrastructure, including design and installation best practices.
• Working knowledge of fault tolerant cooling and electrical architectures for high availability environments.
• General knowledge of data center design, construction, and commissioning processes.
• Experience leading cross-functional teams in large-scale infrastructure design initiatives.
• Track record of problem-solving and achieving measurable outcomes.
• Working knowledge of internet networking technologies, optical transport technologies, and network redundancy concepts.
• Ability to work effectively in an ambiguous environment and collaborate with global teams.
• Experience with scoping, prioritization, multitasking, and clear communication.

• Represent the network infrastructure design and deployment needs for Industrial Control Systems and non-production networks.
• Collaborate with technical teams to incorporate network infrastructure requirements into Meta data center designs.
• Build and nurture relationships with key stakeholders, partners, and vendors.
• Initiate and lead strategic initiatives to drive efficiency and innovation in network infrastructure.
• Influence future iterations of data center and network designs for seamless integration of new technologies.
• Drive improvements in technical references, design processes, and training documentation.
• Support automation and tooling initiatives for consistency and efficiency in infrastructure design.
• Perform construction administration site visits to validate cabling infrastructure and network builds.
• Educate teams on data center product design intent to address design deviations.
• Travel 20% to 30% based on project demand.
