• 7+ years of experience in \*nix (Linux or another UNIX-like OS) and Network fundamentals
• 7+ years of coding experience in an industry-standard language such as Java, Python, C++, PHP/Hack, Rust, or Go
• Experience learning software, frameworks, and APIs
• Experience with Internet service architecture capacity planning and handling urgent capacity needs
• Knowledge of common web technologies and Internet service architectures like LAMP or MEAN stacks
• Experience configuring and running infrastructure level applications such as Kubernetes, Terraform, and MySQL
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience

• Own back-end services that handle fleet management and front-end services like WhatsApp, Instagram, and Facebook.
• Write and review code, leverage AI tools for productionizing code, develop documentation and capacity plans, and debug complex problems in live systems.
• Share an on-call rotation with your engineering team and act as an escalation contact for service incidents.
• Partner with top engineers to work on impactful code and systems used by billions globally.
• Analyze and optimize code for quality, scalability, efficiency, and performance.
• Establish ownership of systems with an expert end-to-end understanding.
• Lead your engineering team by example, mentor others, and be a force multiplier of impact.
