Job description

Tesla is seeking a Sr. System Integration Engineer to lead the integration and validation of next-generation data center platforms. This role involves collaborating with various engineering teams to ensure high performance, reliability, and safety standards are met. The engineer will be responsible for debugging complex systems and developing custom test infrastructures. The position requires a strong understanding of electrical engineering and hands-on experience with high-density systems.

Requirements

  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
  • 4+ years of experience in hardware, firmware, and software integration and validation, or electrical system/electronics design and debugging
  • Strong understanding of electrical engineering fundamentals and thermal management systems
  • Hands-on experience with electrical, mechanical, and thermal engineering components
  • Familiarity with networking protocols
  • Proficiency with Python for test automation and data analysis
  • Proficiency with EE lab tools such as oscilloscopes and power analyzers
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Effective communicator with the ability to drive alignment across cross-functional teams
  • Preferred: Experience with high-power or high-voltage systems and data center infrastructure

Responsibilities

  • Own end-to-end system bring-up and validation strategy definition and execution
  • Design custom sub-system level test infrastructure for targeted validation tests
  • Debug and resolve hardware, firmware, and software integration issues
  • Develop and maintain regression test suites to validate system functionalities
  • Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering teams to ensure requirements are met
  • Drive continuous improvement in design and performance by providing data-driven feedback
