Tesla is looking for a highly motivated Sr. Staff Manufacturing Engineer to lead a team focused on high-volume production launches. This role involves developing scalable manufacturing systems and collaborating with cross-functional teams to optimize product designs for manufacturability. The engineer will play a crucial role in scaling Tesla's AI robotics initiatives and advancing sustainable manufacturing practices. The position requires a strong focus on process optimization and automation solutions.

• Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical or Electrical engineering, or equivalent experience
• Proficiency in CAD tools, preferably Catia and AutoCAD
• Deep knowledge of mechanical assembly techniques and electrical integration
• Familiarity with torque tools, automation equipment, control systems, and communication protocols
• Demonstrated success in scaling products from prototype to high-volume production
• Exceptional verbal and written communication skills
• Ability to thrive in high-pressure environments while managing competing priorities

• Build, mentor, and scale high-performing manufacturing engineering teams
• Collaborate with internal and external suppliers to engineer and validate production equipment
• Use first principles analysis to assess product and process requirements
• Identify and remove non-value-added steps in production workflows
• Analyze production bottlenecks and implement solutions to improve efficiency
• Integrate automation solutions after process simplification
• Coordinate with operations teams during ramp-up phases and provide training
