Job description
Tesla is looking for a highly motivated E2E Engineer to lead part level system design for end-to-end cost analysis. This role involves collaboration with various teams including packaging, finance, and manufacturing to identify optimal solutions for cost savings. The ideal candidate will possess strong analytical skills and a systems-level thinking approach to solve complex problems. The position requires a proactive individual who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can effectively communicate with cross-functional teams.
Requirements
- 2 years of experience with emphasis on supply chain optimization, with internship experience considered.
- Degree in Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Packaging, Logistics, or equivalent experience.
- Experience in utilizing SQL and scripting languages like Python for data processing and analysis.
- Experience in quantitatively solving ambiguous problems at a systems level.
- Experience with data visualization and analysis software such as Tableau or PowerBI.
- Extensive experience in Excel with VBA or similar tools.
- Demonstrated leadership ability to drive projects with diverse teams in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Extensive detailed analysis experience to make data-driven decisions and summarize results for executives.
- Exemplary verbal and written communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end projects on a part basis across all product lines, owning scope from supplier to point of use.
- Identify potential improvements along the supply chain to reduce overall costs.
- Build, optimize, and maintain data analytics tools and models.
- Demonstrate experience in modeling complex systems and presenting analyses to varied audiences.
- Understand financial models and develop basic business cases to support project recommendations.
- Communicate clearly and effectively with cross-functional teams while escalating issues as needed.
- Convince cross-functional leadership of business case logic and team recommendations.
