Meta is seeking a leader for the Capacity Planning Optimization Engineering team to enhance infrastructure capacity planning processes and tools across the company. This hands-on leadership role involves interfacing with executive leadership and optimizing capacity planning at a strategic level. The position requires collaboration with various engineering and business teams to connect business strategy with technical execution. The role is pivotal in transforming Meta's capacity planning process to be software-driven and agile.

• Experience with planning for large-scale technical infrastructure and distributed systems.
• Demonstrated success leading large technical infrastructure planning projects and initiatives.
• Experience working with executive level audiences and partners.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Data Science, or a relevant technical field.
• Experience programming in Python, C++, or similar languages.
• 10+ years of experience in Engineering, Data Science, or Operations Research.

• Own infrastructure capacity planning for all of Meta, including software products and plans for scaling server and data center resources efficiently.
• Partner across the engineering technical landscape to optimize hardware, infrastructure, and software.
• Design and contribute to analytical models connecting business strategy with detailed technical execution.
• Lead company-wide Capacity Planning business processes across technical and non-technical contributors.
• Partner with Finance and business teams to balance cost efficiency with technical and product considerations.
• Work cross-functionally to define problem statements, collect data, build software-driven models, and make recommendations for optimization.
