Job description

Tesla is looking for a seasoned Cost Construction Engineer to manage construction costs and support the buildout of global facilities and infrastructure. This role involves implementing and tracking change management processes throughout various project stages. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in construction methods and cost estimating for large-scale projects. The position requires collaboration with cross-functional teams to ensure effective cost management and reporting.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
  • Strong understanding of construction methods across various disciplines
  • Expertise in cost estimating processes for large-scale facilities
  • High proficiency in MS Excel for data analysis and reporting
  • Experience with construction-related software such as Aconex, P6, and Bluebeam
  • Familiarity with construction schedules and estimating resources

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement cost management programs during project execution
  • Capture and manage change orders, ensuring accurate cost forecasting
  • Assist in developing project control processes in collaboration with teams
  • Create reports and dashboards to communicate cost performance
  • Perform trend analysis to evaluate cost performance and identify risks
  • Develop cost reports and tools to inform decision-making
  • Assist in preparing project funding requests and managing risks
