As an Electrical Engineer with Tesla's Facilities team, you will be crucial in the growth and maintenance of high-tech manufacturing facilities. This on-site role requires expertise in facilities operations and construction, particularly in industries like semiconductors and solar. You will bridge engineering design and field operations while ensuring compliance with safety standards. Your work will involve troubleshooting, energy audits, and continuous improvement activities.

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or higher and a minimum of 5 years of experience in high-tech infrastructure and operational facilities.
• Professional registration as an Electrical Engineer in the State of Nevada or the ability to obtain reciprocity is preferred.
• Ability to multi-task, prioritize, and work in a fast-paced environment.
• Experience with complex power distribution systems, including design and troubleshooting.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, particularly at the executive level.
• Experience with electric utility system analysis software, preferably SKM Power Tools.
• Significant experience in electric utility system safe work practices in accordance with OSHA and other applicable codes.

• Serve as the ultimate system owner for electrical equipment, bridging engineering design and field operations.
• Support and oversee Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) activities for low and medium voltage systems.
• Lead start-up and commissioning activities, troubleshooting real-time issues in the field.
• Evaluate design drawings and oversee construction execution.
• Perform energy audits and provide energy usage calculations and circuit analysis.
• Operate equipment and program medium voltage relays and breaker settings.
• Assist in creating maintenance plans and coordinating downtime activities.
