Job description
Tesla is looking for a Process Engineer to enhance and scale battery stack module manufacturing operations. This role involves developing and optimizing advanced manufacturing methodologies to ensure efficient and high-quality production. The engineer will work closely with cross-functional teams to solve production challenges and drive continuous improvements. Requirements
- Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience
- Knowledge of Statistical Process Control and its application is preferred
- 4+ years in a high-volume, highly automated manufacturing facility developing and improving processes is a plus
- Experience with structured problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W), or Eight Disciplines (8D) is preferred
- Strong ability to communicate effectively with team members and peers within a manufacturing and engineering organization is a plus
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop process flows, control plans, and work instructions.
- Analyze and optimize production processes to maximize Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE) while ensuring safety.
- Develop robust data collection and analysis tools to enable data-driven operational decisions.
- Monitor and reduce process variation using techniques such as Statistical Process Control (SPC).
- Create and maintain Manufacturing Instructions and manage activities for process sustaining technicians.
