Job description

The Sr. Project Engineer is responsible for supporting the development of new processes and managing trials in the LFP Cell production factory. This role focuses on testing and validating systems and parts to ensure high-quality products. The engineer will establish validation standards, develop testing protocols, and collaborate with various departments to drive project success. Additionally, the role involves mentoring junior team members and improving equipment and processes.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment with a focus on equipment commissioning and improvement.
  • Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to learn systems quickly.
  • Experience with structured problem-solving techniques such as DMAIC, Ishikawa, Five Why (5W), or Eight Disciplines (8D).
  • Ability to develop data collection, visualization, and analysis tools.
  • Experience supporting and modifying pilot line equipment for multiple programs.
  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal.

Responsibilities

  • Lead manufacturing line trials for new products and processes, ensuring part availability and line readiness.
  • Document observations, analysis, and results from trials, making recommendations and driving solutions.
  • Manage trial recovery to ensure manufacturing lines are validated post-trial.
  • Become an expert trainer on all machines in assigned areas and support maintenance teams.
  • Manage quality assurance by testing and validating systems and parts.
  • Drive accountability regarding project milestones and success criteria.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional stakeholders to track project execution.
  • Develop and deploy a world-class operations playbook across manufacturing sites.
  • Lead, guide, and mentor junior team members.
