Job description

As a Data Scientist at Meta, you will leverage your technical skills and analytical mindset to influence product development across various applications like Facebook and Instagram. You will work with large data sets to identify opportunities and challenges, collaborating with cross-functional teams to drive product strategy. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Mathematics, Statistics, or a relevant technical field or equivalent practical experience.
  • A minimum of 6 years of work experience in analytics, or a minimum of 4 years with a Ph.D.
  • Experience with data querying languages such as SQL and scripting languages like Python.
  • Familiarity with statistical or mathematical software such as R.

Responsibilities

  • Work with large and complex data sets to solve a wide array of challenging problems using different analytical and statistical approaches.
  • Apply technical expertise with quantitative analysis, experimentation, data mining, and data presentation to develop strategies for products.
  • Identify and measure the success of product efforts through goal setting, forecasting, and monitoring key product metrics.
  • Define, understand, and test opportunities to improve the product and drive roadmaps through insights and recommendations.
  • Partner with Product, Engineering, and cross-functional teams to inform and execute product strategy and investment decisions.
