Job description
Tesla's Infrastructure group is seeking a Software Engineer to develop the software backbone for major capital projects. This role involves collaborating with Engineering, Construction, and Commissioning teams to create internal web applications that integrate data across various engineering disciplines. The engineer will be responsible for end-to-end feature ownership, including designing data models, building APIs, and creating user interfaces. The focus is on optimizing performance and ensuring high-quality code to enhance project efficiency.
Requirements
- Deep experience building robust web applications across the full software development lifecycle.
- Strong proficiency in C#/.NET and React/TypeScript or comparable stacks.
- Solid relational database expertise, including SQL Server/PostgreSQL and query optimization.
- Proven ability to design, integrate, and document REST APIs.
- Strong testing discipline, including unit, integration, and end-to-end testing.
- Hands-on experience with CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments.
- Practical experience integrating LLMs into production applications is preferred.
- Deep knowledge of event-driven architectures and asynchronous messaging is preferred.
Responsibilities
- Build and own full-stack features using .NET, React, and TypeScript.
- Design scalable databases and APIs to maintain accurate engineering data.
- Guide technical decisions and architecture for a large, growing codebase.
- Optimize performance across the entire stack, from database queries to UI rendering.
- Write reliable, high-quality code backed by comprehensive testing.
- Troubleshoot and fix production bugs, data issues, and performance bottlenecks.
