Job description
The Test Engineer will be part of the Factory Launch Team, focusing on the deployment and improvement of automated manufacturing test systems for energy products. This role requires a passion for engineering and a commitment to ensuring that products meet high standards. The position is based in Fremont, CA, and involves collaboration with various engineering teams to enhance manufacturing test equipment. The engineer will also provide ongoing support and troubleshooting for test equipment post-deployment.
Requirements
- Exposure to high-voltage systems, production machinery, and industrial sensors.
- Experience with Windows operating systems.
- Ability to read and understand software code such as Test stand, LabVIEW, Python, C, and C++.
- Experience with CAN bus communications and ability to interpret traces.
- Basic proficiency in PLC programming and troubleshooting.
- Degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.
Responsibilities
- Lead uptime and cycle time improvements on manufacturing test equipment.
- Collaborate with various engineering teams to ensure manufacturing test equipment meets expectations.
- Perform data analysis and customer discussions to understand challenges with manufacturing test equipment.
- Build and validate test equipment, then deploy it to production lines.
- Provide ongoing troubleshooting support for testers after deployment.
- Support equipment troubleshooting and qualification during the development of manufacturing equipment.
