As a Full-Stack Software Engineer in Service Engineering at Tesla, you will play a crucial role in developing and maintaining diagnostic tooling for vehicles. You will work within a multidisciplinary product team, collaborating with Product Managers, Engineers, Operations, and Data Analysts. The main focus of this role is to improve diagnostic simplicity and build proactive diagnostic systems. Your contributions will enhance the reliability and performance of Tesla's diagnostic platform.
Requirements
- Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Electrical Engineering or equivalent experience
- Fullstack software development experience
- Strong working knowledge of modern JavaScript frameworks such as Backbone.js, Angular.js, and React.js
- Strong CSS skills with experience in CSS pre-compilers like SASS and LESS
- Experience in building highly scalable architectures
- Python or Go development experience
- Excellent interpersonal, communication, and collaboration skills
Responsibilities
- Contribute to improving diagnostic simplicity and meeting regulatory compliance
- Improve and maintain the web-based diagnostics platform
- Debug issues in production and apply fixes in a timely manner
- Participate in architectural improvements to support a growing user base
- Enhance application security
- Write new React components to support new features
- Improve the reliability, scalability, and performance of Tesla's diagnostic platform
