Job description

Meta is seeking a strategic leader for the Edge and Network Services (ENS) organization to enhance operational execution and efficiency across a vast network. This role involves leading initiatives that improve reliability and risk management through process and data optimization. The successful candidate will work closely with cross-functional teams to implement technical solutions and drive alignment for Meta's next-generation infrastructure. This position offers the opportunity to build and scale a team focused on ownership and continuous improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a relevant technical field.
  • 10+ years of direct experience in global network or infrastructure operations.
  • 5+ years of experience partnering with enterprise and service-provider vendors.
  • Experience leading operational teams and translating organizational strategy into measurable outcomes.
  • Knowledge of coding and automating in higher-level languages such as Python, Go, or JavaScript.

Responsibilities

  • Help develop and maintain execution plans and resource modeling across indirect teams.
  • Lead highly cross-functional infrastructure projects and programs in a matrix organization.
  • Own the planning and execution of an organizational-level roadmap and strategy.
  • Coach and develop other engineers and people managers on the team.
  • Investigate complex technical and cross-team issues during major incidents and escalations.
  • Drive continuous improvement to analyze operational activities and identify automation opportunities.
  • Drive alignment with internal partners and vendors to address their needs and issues.
  • Lead root-cause analysis and corrective action to resolve operational issues.
  • Represent the organization and manage interactions with third parties.
  • Create, maintain, and enforce operational Standard Operating Procedures and workflows.
