This role involves joining Apple's G&A Solutions Engineering team to develop and deliver integrated technology solutions for general and administrative functions. The focus is on building strategic Finance and Accounting capabilities to support Payments and Commerce at Apple. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in computer science and experience in designing scalable systems. You will work closely with engineers to create core financial capabilities that enhance Apple's product offerings.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in designing, implementing, and supporting highly scalable systems and services in Java or other JVM-based languages.
- Sound understanding of Financial Engineering and payment/commerce transaction processing.
- At least 2 years of experience with different data store technologies such as SQL and NoSQL.
- Experience in Event Driven Architecture and messaging technologies such as Kafka.
- A bachelor's degree in Computer Science or relevant work experience.
- Practical experience with Postgres and MongoDB.
- Familiarity with public cloud platforms like AWS and GCP.
- Deployment experience using Docker and Kubernetes.
Responsibilities
- Envision, design, develop, and deliver components of a well-integrated, distributed system.
- Write proposals to solve complex problems and turn them into product features.
- Collaborate with business teams to develop custom tools that improve productivity.
- Ensure engineering concerns like reliability, scale, availability, and accuracy are addressed.
