The Product Installation Engineer at KLA is a vital role that serves as the first point of contact for customers with advanced equipment. This position is part of the KLA Services team, which focuses on maintaining high performance and productivity through a flexible portfolio of services. The engineer will ensure the on-time installation and qualification of complex capital equipment while representing KLA's commitment to technical excellence. This role requires extensive travel to customer sites worldwide and involves collaboration with various teams to ensure customer satisfaction.
Requirements
- Master's Level Degree and 0 years related work experience or Bachelor's Level Degree and related work experience of 2 years.
- Strong knowledge of electronics, optics, mechanical, electro-mechanical, and electro-optical systems.
- Experience with high-vacuum systems is strongly preferred.
- Comfort working with computer systems, operating systems, and networking (Windows, Unix, or similar environments).
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting abilities.
- Strong verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
- Highly self-motivated, organized, and detail-oriented.
- Able to work effectively across cultures, functions, and geographies.
Responsibilities
- Install and qualify advanced KLA systems at customer sites globally, ensuring installations are completed on schedule and meet quality standards.
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and resolve technical issues during installation by identifying root causes and implementing effective solutions.
- Perform setup, alignment, calibration, and verification of highly complex semiconductor capital equipment.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with KLA regions, engineering, and customer teams to verify system performance and transfer tool ownership.
- Provide clear status updates to all stakeholders throughout the installation process.
- Complete installation documentation and administrative requirements accurately and on time.
- Secure warranty sign-off on newly installed tools.
