Job description
The Apple Services Engineering Commerce group is seeking a back-end Java software engineer to join their Developer Services team. This team is responsible for the transactional engine supporting high-volume digital content stores like the App Store and Apple Music. The role focuses on building scalable services that ensure transactional integrity and security for customers and developers worldwide. Candidates should be comfortable making technical decisions under pressure and translating complex requirements into maintainable systems.
Requirements
- 3+ years of software engineering experience implementing and maintaining critical systems at scale.
- Outstanding analytical problem-solving, debugging, and diagnostic skills.
- A BS degree, preferably in Computer Science or related experience.
- Experience with load balancing, autoscaling, traffic shaping, and distributed systems debugging.
- Proficiency with observability tooling including metrics, logs, and performance troubleshooting.
- Strong commitment to automated testing, including integration, load, and end-to-end testing.
- Experience working on highly scalable applications and RESTful web services.
- Experience with SQL and noSQL databases and entity relationship modeling.
