Job description
The Senior Analytics Engineer at Netflix will lead the design and implementation of data architectures and analytical tools to support the Marketing team. This role focuses on transforming raw data into high-quality data models and insights that drive business decisions. The position requires collaboration with various stakeholders, including Data Engineers and Data Scientists, to understand data needs and deliver effective solutions. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in data analytics, engineering, and communication.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience with an advanced degree in a quantitative field or 8+ years of relevant professional experience.
- Expertise in SQL and deep experience with Python for data manipulation and automation.
- Strong ability to translate ambiguous business requests into concrete data products.
- Exceptional communication skills with both technical and non-technical audiences.
- Proactive in learning and adopting AI capabilities to enhance workflow.
Responsibilities
- Design, build, and maintain scalable data models for the Consumer Product team.
- Partner with Business Stakeholders, Product Engineering, and Data Scientists/Data Engineers to understand data needs.
- Transform complex quantitative analysis into high-impact dashboards and custom data tools.
- Deliver scalable data solutions by merging advanced SQL and Python proficiency with data engineering workflows.
- Proactively bring data-driven perspectives to challenge assumptions and uncover growth opportunities.
- Manage high-impact, long-term infrastructure projects while handling ad hoc data requests.
