Amazon Web Services (AWS) is looking for a Data Center Structural Engineer to join its design team in Herndon, Virginia. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in Structural Engineering
- 2+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities
- 2+ years of commissioning experience
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
- Professional Engineer License
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel
Responsibilities
- Design prototypical data center facilities and provide technical guidance to team members.
- Review milestone drawings by consultants and solve large scale implementation issues.
- Carry design concepts through exploration, development, and into deployment or mass production.
- Research new designs, technologies, and construction methods of data center equipment and facilities.
- Read, interpret, and create construction drawings, specifications, and submittal documents.
