The Mechatronics Test Engineer is responsible for creating and executing test programs for subsystem and complete system verification in robotics and automation. This role involves designing test benches, selecting instrumentation, and processing data to derive engineering insights. The engineer will collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to support new technology and product development. The position requires a strong background in electrical or computer engineering and experience in test development.

• Master's degree in electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent
• Experience in developing functional specifications, design verification plans, and functional test procedures
• Experience developing test strategies and plans for complex hardware/software systems
• Experience in test development within a high ambiguity environment
• Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
• Experience with project management of technical projects
• Experience in selecting, sourcing, and setup of lab equipment from third parties

• Identify proper test plans and equipment needed based on program development stages
• Design, commission, and operate test benches for robotic systems including actuators, batteries, sensors, and cameras
• Perform complete system verification and validation testing to ensure successful development of new technologies and products
• Process and analyze test data to determine performance metrics
• Create test reports that compare results against specifications to feed back into the design cycle
• Support new technology and product development programs
• Collaborate with engineers across various disciplines
