The Autonomous Vehicles Platform team is looking for a Senior System Software Engineer to advance NVIDIA's autonomous vehicle platform. This position focuses on developing innovative solutions that enhance transportation and self-driving technology. The role involves working with hardware-in-the-loop infrastructure and agentic AI tools to support next-generation autonomous systems. Candidates will lead cross-functional design efforts and collaborate across various organizational boundaries.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or a related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5+ years of demonstrated success in designing and implementing system software and tools.
  • Expertise in low-level debugging and system-level optimization within complex embedded hardware-software ecosystems.
  • Proven ability to drive technical alignment across organizational boundaries.
  • Strong communication skills to operate effectively across global, fast-paced teams.
  • A results-driven mindset to solve ambiguous technical challenges.

Responsibilities

  • Drive the expansion of hardware-in-the-loop (HIL) infrastructure for autonomous systems.
  • Build and evolve agentic AI tools and frameworks to improve development efficiency.
  • Lead cross-functional design for the HIL system, integrating hardware architecture and embedded software.
  • Deliver scalable workflows across organizational boundaries.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
