You will collaborate with engineering and AI teams to enhance data movement through storage platforms and guide the adoption of new storage technologies. This position offers an opportunity to foster a collaborative and inclusive environment while making a significant impact on the reliability and efficiency of storage services. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the future of storage solutions at NVIDIA.

Requirements

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Storage Systems, or a related technical field, or equivalent experience.
  • 12+ overall years of experience in large scale storage architecture, operations, production engineering, or infrastructure.
  • 6+ years of people management or technical leadership experience with storage, infrastructure, or site reliability teams.
  • Direct experience managing infrastructure operations including on-call rotations, incident response, ongoing maintenance, troubleshooting, and optimization of production systems.
  • Hands on experience with parallel file systems, distributed storage, and enterprise object or NAS platforms.
  • Strong knowledge of block, file, and object storage, including performance tuning and high availability design.
  • Experience with storage networking and protocols like NFS, SMB, iSCSI, Fibre Channel, RDMA, and NVMe-oF.
  • Practical experience with automation and infrastructure as code using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet.
  • Strong knowledge of monitoring and observability tools used to operate and improve storage systems.

Responsibilities

  • Lead and coach a team of Storage Production Engineers in a collaborative and inclusive environment.
  • Design, deploy, and improve large scale storage systems including distributed storage and parallel file systems.
  • Utilize automation, monitoring, and analytics to enhance the reliability and efficiency of storage services.
  • Own capacity planning, data lifecycle management, cost awareness, and disaster recovery plans for storage.
  • Evaluate and adopt modern storage approaches such as NVMe over Fabrics and cloud based storage.
  • Guide incident response and root cause analysis for storage issues to prevent future problems.
  • Partner with engineering, DevOps, and AI/ML teams to enhance data pipelines and workflow performance.

Benefits

  • Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
