This role involves working as a talented engineer on HealthKit, which is central to health and fitness applications on Apple platforms. The team focuses on ensuring that HealthKit remains secure, efficient, and continuously evolving. Engineers will collaborate with various teams across Apple and third-party developers to enhance the functionality of the Health app and HealthKit framework. • BS in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• Strong foundation in Computer Science fundamentals
• 8 years of experience working in Objective-C, Swift, C++ or similar high level programming languages
• Strong understanding of algorithms and data structures
• Solid background in object-oriented architecture and design
• Deep understanding of systems-level concepts like multi-threading and interprocess communication
• Expertise with debugging tools and performance tuning
• Knowledge of iOS programming and Apple technologies such as Grand Central Dispatch, CloudKit, or XPC Activity/Services
• Strong communication skills, including ability to collaborate in a diversity of backgrounds and experiences
• Willingness to learn and improve, and also mentor and support other team members
• Highly organized, maintaining patience and composure to effectively operate within ambiguity
• Experience delivering libraries, frameworks or APIs
• Experience with distributed systems design, development and support
• Experience with SQL and database technologies
• Familiarity with Fitness, Wellness or Medical concepts

• Deliver new health and fitness features for the Health app and HealthKit framework
• Design solutions for distributed health data storage and performance
