The Brokers, Asset Managers & Exchanges team within Equity Research at Morgan Stanley is seeking a strong Associate or VP-level team member. This role focuses on building and maintaining financial models and writing research notes based on proprietary analysis. Candidates should possess a passion for Equity Research and a commitment to excellence. The position is based in the New York office and involves interaction with institutional investors.

• At least 2 years of experience in a Financial Services capacity such as Investment Banking, Capital Markets, Research, Consulting, Finance, or Accounting.
• Outstanding financial modeling and analytical skills.
• Advanced proficiency in Excel for building and maintaining financial models.
• Ability to multitask and reprioritize effectively.
• Strong attention to detail.

• Create and maintain earnings, valuation, and industry models.
• Assist in writing research reports for initiations of coverage and analysis of data.
• Interact with institutional investors, responding to requests for models and reports.
• Analyze implications of industry news and developments on companies under coverage.
• Conduct industry diligence and primary research through surveys and expert calls.
