Job description
The OTF DSIRE (Diffusion) Module Engineer role at Intel involves developing robust manufacturable process modules within a high-volume manufacturing facility. The engineer will be responsible for managing 300mm toolsets, ensuring safety, cleanliness, and operational excellence. This position requires a focus on continuous improvement and collaboration with the engineering team to achieve high tool availability and low defect densities. The ideal candidate will possess strong problem-solving skills and a commitment to driving performance in a dynamic environment.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering, Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, Mechanical or related engineering STEM field with 3+ years of experience or a Master's degree with 1+ years of experience.
- Experience supporting high-volume manufacturing ramps and technology transfers.
- Semiconductor fabrication experience and sustaining semiconductor manufacturing toolsets, preferably 3+ years.
- Direct diffusion/implant module experience managing semiconductor equipment.
- Proven track record with defectivity and availability improvements.
Responsibilities
- Define roadmaps to meet requirements, goals, and milestones for new technology processes.
- Establish flow, procedures, and equipment configuration for the module.
- Select and develop materials and equipment to meet quality, yield, reliability, cost, productivity, and manufacturability requirements.
- Plan and conduct experiments to fully characterize the process throughout the development cycle.
- Drive improvements on quality, yield, reliability, process stability, productivity, and safety/ergonomics.
- Develop solutions to problems utilizing formal education, statistical knowledge, and problem-solving tools.
- Establish process control systems for the process module and sustain it through volume ramp.
- Develop strategies to resolve difficult problems and establish systems to address these issues in the future.
- Train production/receiving process engineers for transfer to other factories.
- Transfer processes to high-volume manufacturing and provide support in new factory start-up as well as installation and qualification of new production lines.
