Blackstone is seeking an Assistant Vice President, UX Designer to lead user experience design efforts within the Finance & Operations technology portfolio. This role focuses on enhancing the user experience for applications that support various operational functions. The ideal candidate will work closely with product managers, engineers, and stakeholders to create intuitive digital experiences. This position offers the chance to influence critical business platforms and contribute to the evolution of design standards across the Investor Portal ecosystem.
Requirements
- 4+ years of experience in UX, Product Design, Interaction Design, or related disciplines.
- Bachelor's degree in Design or equivalent practical experience.
- Strong portfolio demonstrating end-to-end product design work.
- Experience designing complex web-based applications and workflow-driven enterprise products.
- Proficiency with modern design and AI-enabled prototyping tools such as Figma.
- Strong understanding of user-centered design methodologies and design thinking principles.
- Experience collaborating within Agile product development environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead UX design initiatives across multiple Finance & Operations applications.
- Partner with Product Managers and Engineering teams to define product vision and user workflows.
- Conduct user research, stakeholder interviews, and usability testing to identify user needs.
- Create user journeys, task flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity designs.
- Translate complex financial processes into simple, scalable user interfaces.
- Identify opportunities to improve consistency and usability through design systems.
- Collaborate closely with engineering teams throughout the software development lifecycle.
- Leverage user feedback and analytics to inform design decisions.
- Present design concepts and recommendations to stakeholders.
- Champion user-centered design principles and advocate for best practices.
