Job description
The Controls Engineer will join the Manufacturing team at Cummins Drivetrain and Breaking Systems Business Unit in Maxton, NC. This role focuses on developing and optimizing control systems for equipment and machinery to enhance performance and efficiency. The engineer will also troubleshoot complex technical challenges and support business decisions through accurate cost estimates and equipment requirements. Additionally, the position involves mentoring less experienced engineers and fostering a culture of continuous learning.
Requirements
- A college degree in STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Math) or a related field, or equivalent experience is required.
- Intermediate level of relevant work experience is required.
- Complete knowledge of low power DC control systems and high voltage power distribution systems is preferred.
- Proficiency in reading and creating electrical prints is necessary.
- Strong troubleshooting skills related to machines and assembly lines are essential.
- Fluency in Allen Bradley HMI and RedLion HMI programming is required.
- Expert use of AutoCad and all MS Office software packages is a must.
