Job description

The role is for an engineer in Qualcomm's Multimedia Systems team, focusing on optimizing power and performance for camera and video technologies in Snapdragon devices. The team is responsible for system-level architecture and analysis, ensuring that multimedia use cases meet power and performance requirements. Candidates should have a background in system-level architecture and HW/SW co-design. This position offers the opportunity to impact millions of users by shaping efficient devices.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field.
  • Experience or coursework related to low power design/analysis, computer architecture, or HW/SW systems design/architecture.
  • Master's degree in Engineering, Information Systems, Computer Science, or related field is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience working on systems analysis and modeling using various modeling tools at a detailed level is preferred.
  • 2+ years of experience with system level aspects of low power design with the ability to model and analyze power and performance at system level is preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Come up with the most efficient multimedia system architecture to satisfy power, performance, and cost requirements.
  • Analyze power for selected use-cases using the system models for selected architectures.
  • Roll out architectural analysis and proposals to HW and SW design teams.
  • Follow up through the execution and commercialization of the SOC to ensure goals are met and modeling assumptions are validated.
  • Support Mobile, Compute, IoT, and Automotive OEMs to optimize power on their commercial devices.
