The Back-End Storage Developer role at IBM focuses on providing top-level support for escalated cases within the Storage Development Business. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant field is required, with a master's degree preferred.
- Experience working as an engineering support, sustaining, or development engineer.
- Basic Linux Storage System administration experience, including system installation and configuration.
- Strong scripting skills in Python and Bash, along with programming skills in C/C++.
- Familiarity with Ceph storage architecture and hands-on experience with configuring Ceph clusters.
Responsibilities
- Handle highly escalated cases from support teams to improve customer experience.
- Provide assistance to L2 support engineers in resolving issues.
- Fix customer-reported issues as part of the Ceph development teams.
- Ensure regular updates are communicated to L2 teams regarding ongoing issues.
- Collaborate with product management to drive feature enhancements and fixes into the product.
