Job description
The Developer Engagement Engineer role at Morgan Stanley focuses on enhancing the developer experience by promoting the adoption of AI coding tools within the Firmwide developer tools group. This position requires a hands-on developer who will engage with engineering teams and provide guidance on the effective use of these tools. The ideal candidate will thrive in a fast-paced environment and help shape the software development lifecycle for over 25,000 developers. This role combines software engineering, developer experience, and AI tool adoption to drive meaningful change.
Requirements
- Software development experience with exposure to modern engineering workflows.
- Practical experience with AI coding tools such as GitHub Copilot and Codex.
- Ability to evaluate where AI tools add value and where they introduce risk.
- Comfort leading demos, workshops, and enablement sessions for varied audiences.
- Clear and credible written and verbal communication skills.
Responsibilities
- Engage developers through demos, workshops, and enablement sessions.
- Help teams identify practical use cases for AI coding tools.
- Create reusable examples and guidance to accelerate adoption.
- Gather developer feedback and translate it into actionable insights.
