The Security Derivatives Intermediate Associate Analyst is an entry-level position focused on processing orders and transactions from trading desks and branch offices. This role is part of the Operations - Transaction Services team and aims to assist in the clearance, settlement, and investigation of client securities and derivatives transactions. The analyst will utilize industry knowledge to analyze hedge funds and support improvements in securities processing. Additionally, they will provide guidance to junior team members and ensure compliance with relevant laws and regulations.
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience
- Experience in Settlements in Securities is a plus
- Consistently demonstrates clear and concise written and verbal communication skills
- Bachelor’s Degree/University degree or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Utilize basic industry and business knowledge to conduct analyses of hedge funds and other counterparty activities.
- Contribute to the creation of customized reporting used to present information to management.
- Support implementation of securities processing improvements.
- Assist with identifying policy gaps and formulating policies that streamline related work processes.
- Review and analyze hedge fund activities, procedures to reconcile cash/holdings and securities pricing.
- Develop and use knowledge of securities, processing practices and standards.
- Provide informal guidance or on the job training to lower level/new securities processing team members when required.
- Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating particular consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets.
