Job description
Apple is seeking talented engineers to join the Operations team, specifically to support iPhone Final Assembly. The role focuses on ensuring manufacturability of new products and involves various engineering disciplines. Candidates will work on product engineering, process engineering, and failure/data analysis to enhance quality and efficiency. This position requires meaningful experience in high volume production and collaboration with international partners.
Requirements
- Meaningful experience of 3+ years in introducing products into manufacturing or high volume production.
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or a similar field.
- Excellent project management skills, including planning, cost management, and delivery.
- Direct experience leading functional engineering teams such as Mechanical, Electrical, Test, or DFX.
- Experience working with international OEM partners.
- New product introduction and Manufacturing Operations experience.
- Experience with AI/ML, Machine Learning, LLM, robotic process automation, or quantum computing is a plus.
- Master's degree or MBA is a plus.
Responsibilities
- Provide early and ongoing manufacturing involvement to ensure new products are mechanically manufacturable.
- Work through all phases of a product from concept to repeat manufacturing to end of life.
- Provide production support engineering with respect to technically complex testing methods, procedures, and failure analysis.
- Design and develop technically complex processes to improve quality and efficiency.
- Plan, develop, and implement technically complex procedures for testing and evaluating soon to be released products.
- Travel internationally approximately 25% of the time.
