This role involves building a real-time, globally distributed platform for Amazon Advertising that manages billing, budgeting, payments, and promotions. The team is responsible for ensuring high availability and minimal downtime while processing millions of transactions daily. You will work on architecting systems that can scale with international expansion and support a growing advertiser base. The position requires collaboration across teams located in Bangalore, Seattle, and New York.

• 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
• 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience with design patterns, reliability, and scaling
• Experience programming with at least one software programming language
• 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
• Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

• Design and build global, scalable, secure back-end applications for billing, budgeting, payments, and promotions at massive transaction volume
• Build customer-facing front-end applications that enable frictionless billing, budgeting, and payments for advertisers
• Architect high-availability, distributed systems with millisecond SLAs to ensure zero revenue loss and uninterrupted advertiser experiences
• Seamlessly integrate with downstream ad serving platforms and billing systems without loss of information
• Design for 10X traffic growth by building easily scalable architecture that supports international expansion
• Own the entire creation process from feature design through implementation and operational excellence
• Identify and mitigate design risks early to increase the speed of implementation
