Apple is seeking a SerDes Design and Validation Engineer to lead the system validation of mixed-signal SerDes IP. This role involves designing, integrating, and validating high-performance analog and mixed-signal circuits for SerDes PHY applications. The engineer will work on critical building blocks and develop analog DFT circuits essential for comprehensive PHY validation. • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field and a minimum of 10 years of industry experience.
• Experience in high-speed serial links and knowledge of common high-speed SerDes protocols like PCIe, USB, DP, and MPHY.
• Solid understanding and experience in designing analog mixed-signal circuit blocks including Bandgap, biasing circuits, LDO regulators, amplifiers, and ADCs.
• Hands-on experience with AMS IC development from definition to high-volume production.
• Skills in scripting and automation to enhance efficiency are highly desirable.

• Own the SerDes system bring-up, validation, and debug processes.
• Work with design teams to understand architecture and define DFT needs.
• Be involved in mixed-signal verification tasks to understand SerDes operation.
• Develop test plans and analyze data to ensure robust IP design.
• Collaborate with production test teams to debug complex design and system issues.
