Job description
Netflix is seeking a full stack engineer to join the Platform Data Science & Engineering team, which focuses on optimizing cloud and AI infrastructure. The role involves building products that enhance the efficiency of Netflix's infrastructure while collaborating with engineering stakeholders. The engineer will work on interactive web applications, backend services, and analytics datasets. This position offers the opportunity to take ownership of projects and contribute to the development of innovative tools.
Requirements
- You have designed, built, and shipped full stack applications.
- You possess strong TypeScript and React skills, along with backend experience in Node.js or GraphQL.
- You have enough data fluency to work with SQL and reason about data models.
- You have a track record of owning work independently and setting direction.
- You have experience contributing to internal systems and tools.
Responsibilities
- Build and ship full stack features for infrastructure cost and usage tooling.
- Help build and launch products for analyzing AI productivity, cost, and usage.
- Contribute to internal tooling surfaces by providing relevant data.
- Build reusable components and shared infrastructure for visualization and analytics engineers.
- Partner with analytics engineers and data engineers on data models behind products.
Benefits
- Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
