Job description

The Category Manager for Engineering and Technical Operations at Google Procurement Organization is responsible for developing and executing procurement strategies for assigned indirect spend categories. This role involves cultivating strategic supplier relationships and optimizing spend categories through data-driven insights. The position requires collaboration with key stakeholders to ensure alignment with organizational objectives. Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Operations Management, Finance, Business, or a related field.
  • 4 years of experience in multi-disciplined procurement, leading strategy development, execution, and sourcing.
  • Experience managing indirect spend categories and executing sourcing strategies.
  • Experience with agreement drafting, review, and management.

Responsibilities

  • Support the development and execution of category strategies aligned with organizational objectives.
  • Build and maintain relationships with suppliers to ensure quality service delivery.
  • Execute sourcing strategies, request for proposal (RFx) processes, negotiations, and supplier evaluations.
  • Analyze spending patterns, market trends, and procurement data to identify value opportunities.
  • Provide data-driven insights and reports to support decision-making and performance evaluation.
