The Sr. Quality Engineer, Complete Vehicle Quality at Rivian will play a crucial role in ensuring high-quality vehicles by collaborating with various cross-functional teams including Design, Engineering, and Manufacturing. This position focuses on identifying and addressing quality issues, developing inspection plans, and validating containment actions within the factory. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in quality engineering and a passion for problem-solving in a dynamic environment. This role requires effective communication and teamwork to navigate complex challenges in vehicle production.

• Bachelor's degree in industrial engineering, Mechatronic Engineering or equivalent
• 4+ years of quality experience in manufacturing or engineering environments
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain testing methods for detection, diagnostics and investigation for quality issues
• Advanced problem solving tool experience
• Hands-on experience with Quality Management Systems (QMS) and testing methodologies
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience in 8D or similar methods
• SIX SIGMA Green Belt is a plus
• Proficient in MS Office, CAD, and Atlassian (Jira, Confluence) is a plus
• Must be able to travel at least 20%

• Collaborate with various cross-functional teams to ensure the Manufacturing facility implements and maintains all requisite controls for the detection, containment, and prevention of quality issues
• Actively identify and address high-risk issues originating from various sources, including Service Quality data and Operations reports
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to determine the root cause of intricate technical challenges
• Work with the Engineering team to define process parameters and criteria to ensure process capability is effective to meet product requirements
• Develop inspection plans and work instructions for Quality Gates based on established specifications and industry standards
• Monitor and steer systematic problems through the operations system
• Provide validation for deviations and containment actions implemented within the factory to address critical quality issues
