Job description
The Water/Wastewater Engineer position at Jacobs involves working independently and as part of multi-disciplinary teams to serve southeast water and wastewater clients. The role focuses on developing engineering evaluations, design concepts, and supporting field engineering activities. Candidates will have the opportunity to grow both personally and professionally in a diverse and fast-paced office environment. Strong communication and interpersonal skills are essential for building client relationships and ensuring project success.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Civil, Environmental, Chemical, or related engineering discipline.
- At least 2 years of professional experience, with internship experience considered.
- Strong written and oral communication skills.
- Professional Engineer (PE) license in Florida is preferred.
- Engineer in Training (EIT) certification is a plus.
- Master's degree is desirable.
- Experience working in a multi-disciplinary project team.
Responsibilities
- Work on multi-disciplinary teams to deliver world-class projects.
- Collaborate effectively with project teams that have diverse technical skill sets and geographic locations.
- Observe and document field and construction activities related to water, wastewater, and facility infrastructure.
- Build cooperative partnerships between the client and all stakeholders to ensure project success.
- Drive health and safety in all aspects of project execution.
