Job description

As a business analyst at McKinsey, you will join a client service team focused on large-scale transformations. You will take ownership of specific workstreams, working directly with clients to deliver transformation objectives. The role emphasizes a methodology-driven approach to solving complex challenges and building client capabilities. You will collaborate with a diverse team of experts and have the opportunity to develop your leadership skills in a supportive environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • 1+ year of experience focused on operations, finance/accounting, or go-to-market/top-line growth initiatives
  • Experience in management consulting, large-scale change management, turnaround and restructurings, M&A and integrations, or investment banking is a plus
  • Program management experience on driving large-scale, transformational change programs is preferred
  • Ability to understand, analyze, and interpret financial statements
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to adjust your style to suit different perspectives and seniority levels
  • Ability to travel to and work in varying environments that may be challenging and/or not accessible

Responsibilities

  • Take ownership of specific workstreams and end-products within the overall transformation program
  • Deliver transformation objectives within your workstream and coach clients to develop effective improvement plans
  • Mobilize and help clients achieve change that exceeds their expectations
  • Collaborate with team members and operate autonomously with limited direction after appropriate apprenticeship
  • Engage with a variety of individuals at client organizations, ranging from the C-Suite to front-line workers
