NVIDIA is seeking energetic and technologically savvy engineers to join the Chips System Software team, focusing on architecting and developing boot firmware for flagship CPUs used in high-compute platforms. The role requires strong programming skills in C and Python, along with a solid understanding of operating systems, kernel programming, and hardware architecture. Candidates should also be familiar with automotive functionality safety and security standards. This position emphasizes collaboration and innovation in a diverse and supportive environment.
Requirements
- BS or MS degree in EE/CS/CE or equivalent experience
- 5+ years of relevant proven experience
- Strong proficiency in C and Python programming and debugging skills
- Detailed and extensive experience with Linux kernel software is required
- Experience in embedded software development and verification process, with bootloaders experience a plus
- Excellent interpersonal skills
Responsibilities
- Build robust features for core boot firmware established by protective and security guidelines
- Define, decompose, and verify functional/safety requirements and architecture
- Perform failure analysis (FMEA/DFA) on Bootloader functionality and architecture
- Collaborate with internal and external team members to develop partnerships
- Validate and verify features on pre-silicon simulation platforms prior to tapeout
- Support silicon verification, features development, and post-silicon productization
