·FY 2025Job description
The Senior Memory Qualification Engineer at NVIDIA will focus on high-speed memory bring-up, characterization, and qualification for GPU, CPU, and SoC programs. This role is critical in identifying and resolving memory issues before they affect customers. The engineer will work closely with various teams to ensure memory systems meet performance standards. The position emphasizes building AI-accelerated workflows for memory qualification and data analysis.
Requirements
- B.Tech or M.Tech in Electrical, Electronics, or Computer Engineering or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years in the semiconductor industry with at least 3 years directly on memory interface bring-up, characterization, and qualification.
- Deep understanding of GDDR, LPDDR, or HBM protocols and physical layers.
- Strong hands-on lab skills with tools such as oscilloscopes and protocol analyzers.
- Demonstrated experience in building AI-driven workflows for memory characterization and analysis.
Responsibilities
- Bring up high-speed memory interfaces on complex silicon from first power-on through full characterization.
- Own functional validation, IO tuning, and multi-vendor DRAM qualification across various configurations.
- Lead root-cause closure on complex multi-team memory failures with productized fixes.
- Design and deploy AI-enabled workflows for margin data analysis and failure detection.
- Collaborate with pre-Si architecture and design teams to translate new memory features into validation plans.
Benefits
- Employees at NVIDIA are often offered comprehensive, day-one benefits—including medical, dental, and vision coverage with HSA support, life and disability insurance, an Employee Assistance Program, and a 401(k) with auto-enrollment. Many roles also have generous time off and holidays, donation matching (up to $10,000), and a wide menu of extras like FSAs, commuter benefits, legal and identity-theft protection, pet insurance, and wellness discounts. Optional programs can include student-loan and home-purchase support, plus family care resources and expert medical services.
