Job description
The Senior Software Engineer role at NVIDIA focuses on designing and developing AIOps and Observability platforms used by internal teams to monitor and optimize various products and services. The engineer will collaborate with a team of engineers and product managers to define observability strategies and mentor other engineers. This position requires a strong background in observability tools and cloud-native environments, as well as a passion for delivering high-quality internal platforms. Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science and engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience.
- 12+ years of experience in product development and full stack engineering.
- 5+ years of experience in developing and operating observability platforms and solutions.
- Strong knowledge and experience with observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.
- Hands-on knowledge in AIOps tools such as BigPanda and Datadog.
- Experience with Kubernetes, Docker, and microservices architectures.
- Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Go, Python, or Java.
- Experience with developing observability solutions for on-prem and public cloud environments.
Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and deployment of AIOps and Observability platforms.
- Drive the technical vision and roadmap for AIOps and Observability initiatives.
- Collaborate with teams and customers to understand their observability needs.
- Establish and implement observability standards and guidelines across NVIDIA.
- Provide peer reviews to other engineers on performance and scalability.
- Work with data scientists to implement machine learning models for data analysis.
- Develop and operate scalable and reliable systems for high traffic workloads.
- Build AI agents and observability tools to help engineers resolve production issues.
