The semiconductor device modeling engineer will work within Intel's Compact Device Modeling Group, which is part of the Design Technology Platform organization. This role focuses on supporting compact modeling activities for Intel's new technologies, enabling design teams to bring innovative products to market faster. The engineer will collaborate with diverse teams to optimize process technology for data-centric applications. This position offers the opportunity to contribute to advancements in semiconductor device physics and modeling.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline and 5+ years of industry experience in the semiconductor field, or a Master's degree with at least 3 years of experience, or a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
- Graduate coursework or research experience in semiconductor device physics or 5+ years of work experience in semiconductor device physics.
- 1+ years' experience in Python scripting for data analysis, automation, and documentation.
Responsibilities
- Support compact modeling activities for Intel's new technologies.
- Collaborate with design teams to optimize process technology.
- Develop methodologies for device targeting and benchmarking circuits.
- Model layout-dependent effects and self-heating effects on device performance.
- Utilize extraction tools and commercial simulators for transistor modeling.
