Job description
The Product Design Engineer role at Apple focuses on the mechanical design of parts, assemblies, and modules within Apple Vision products. This position involves engaging in the entire product design cycle, from concept development to prototyping and testing. The role requires collaboration with various teams, including Industrial Design and Manufacturing, to ensure the successful realization of innovative products. The engineer will also be responsible for analyzing and ensuring the reliability of the designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering
- 3+ years of hands-on, consumer electronics product design experience
- Strong mechanical engineering analytical skills and experience selecting materials and manufacturing processes
- Proficiency in 3D CAD, with NX preferred
- Proficiency in GD&T techniques and creating 2D drawings
- Experience working with external manufacturing vendors
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
- Creative problem-solving skills with experience in failure analysis
