The Global Macro Strategy team at Morgan Stanley is looking for an FX strategist to join their New York office, focusing on developed currency markets. The role involves collaborating with the global currency team and contributing to research production, including idea generation and data analysis. The analyst will emphasize currencies from the US, Canada, Australia, and New Zealand. This position offers the chance to work closely with senior team members and develop analytical tools for client use.
Requirements
- You have a strong academic background with a degree in a business related field, or equivalent.
- A strong interest in global macro, including both Macro Economics and Global Markets, is essential.
- Previous work experience in FX and understanding of Interest Rate markets is required.
- You must have excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Statistical and quantitative skills with a background in Microsoft Excel or any statistical package are necessary.
Responsibilities
- Participate in all aspects of research production, including idea generation and report writing.
- Promote research findings to clients.
- Maintain and develop various analytical tools and models for client use.
- Collaborate effectively with other research teams across the firm.
