Job description
Join the team behind Shortcuts, Siri, and Proactive Intelligence as an iOS and macOS engineer. You will help shape Automations and enhance the connected home experience by turning smart devices into intelligent solutions. Your work will involve deep OS integration and collaboration with first-party apps and services. You will tackle complex technical challenges while ensuring that the software you build is user-friendly and reliable.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent practical experience
- Experience building software applications in Objective-C or Swift
- Skilled communicator, both verbally and in writing
- Experience building and maintaining complex, performant systems that integrate deeply with the OS and hardware
- Passion for the Home and HomeKit ecosystem and the future of intelligent automation
- Focus on software architecture that is robust, performant, and maintainable
- Comfort working in a cross-functional environment, solving problems that span multiple systems
- Ability to take ownership guiding existing products, anticipating issues, and driving early-stage development of new capabilities
- Familiarity with tools such as Xcode, lldb, Instruments, and Claude Code
Responsibilities
- Help shape Automations and the connected home experience.
- Ship code that runs on devices across all of Apple's platforms.
- Break down complex technical challenges and build relationships across teams.
