Job description
As an SRAM Circuit Designer in the Digital Custom Group, you will be part of a world-class silicon design team responsible for creating innovative solutions for Apple's flagship products. This role focuses on designing and implementing custom digital circuits for SRAM, collaborating with a talented team to optimize architecture and performance. You will play a critical role in delivering high-performance chips like the M1 and A14 Bionic, influencing CPU, GPU, and SoC designs. Your contributions will help bring groundbreaking products to market quickly and efficiently.
Requirements
- BS degree and a minimum of 10 years relevant industry experience
- Experience within a SoC design cycle, developing circuits and SRAM/Register File for low power, low voltage, and high performance
- Knowledge of Cache design/architecture and memory hierarchy
- Working knowledge of RTL modeling
- Solid understanding of industry-standard design tools
- Deep understanding of nanometer device physics and leakage mechanisms
- Ability to devise experiments and analyze data for silicon debug
- Familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms and scripting is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design and implement custom digital circuits for SRAM design
- Work with the logic/architecture team to formulate design specifications
- Define architecture and topologies optimizing for power, timing, area, and yield
- Perform schematic capture, simulations, analysis, and margin verifications
- Conduct functional equivalency and DFT modeling
- Collaborate with the layout team to create optimal GDS
- Verify that extracted GDS meets design specifications
- Conduct backend verification, including IR and EM analysis
- Write RTL, validate use-cases, and verify against design schematics
- Support post-silicon efforts to enable productization
