The SRAM Circuit Designer will be part of a world-class silicon design team responsible for developing high-performance chips like the M1. This role focuses on designing custom digital circuits for SRAM while collaborating with various teams to optimize architecture and specifications. The position is critical in influencing CPU, GPU, and SoC designs within Apple's Custom Silicon group. The designer will also engage in post-silicon efforts to ensure successful productization.

• BS degree and a minimum of 10 years of relevant industry experience
• Experience within a SoC design cycle, developing circuits and SRAM/Register File for low power, low voltage, and high performance
• Knowledge of Cache design/architecture and memory hierarchy is a huge plus
• Working knowledge of RTL modeling
• Solid understanding of industry-standard design tools
• Deep understanding of nanometer device physics and leakage mechanisms
• Ability to devise experiments and analyze data for silicon debug
• Familiarity with Machine Learning algorithms and scripting is a big plus

• Design and implement custom digital circuits for SRAM design
• Work with a logic/architecture team to formulate design specifications
• Define architecture and topologies optimizing for power, timing, area, and yield
• Conduct schematic capture, simulations, analysis, and margin verifications
• Perform functional equivalency and DFT modeling
• Collaborate with the layout team to create optimal GDS
• Verify that extracted GDS meets design specifications
• Conduct backend verification, including IR and EM analysis
• Write RTL, validate use-cases, and verify against design schematics
• Support post-silicon efforts to enable productization
